![]() ![]() The point is hardware is not moving enough to new devices have enough power for a generation jump and that is even more issue in the portable market… devices are near the limit of what they can reach with that form fact and power envelop… new versions will have very little improvement over the previous one. Looking at actual 5nm, 6nm, 7nm, 8nm, etc they are more similar to 10-12nm in old scale but for marketing use they chooses se to use new names (AMD tried in the past to use 7+ 7++ 7+++ but the ideia died pretty fast). There are improvements but the improvements are in the 10-20% range when a new process shrink should cut the previous process in half. Hardware manufacturers are in a trick point because they can’t shrink like in the past… the new process models are very similar after 16nm and they are just marketing names. I expect from now future titles miss Steam Deck because the lack of power.
